CHN Links: Monday Edition

Good morning, Toon Army. A good night for our home team as FC Dallas advances to its first ever MLS Cup Final. I'd trade it for a win at Bolton, though.

Andy Carroll finally got his much-anticipated England call-up...but he has to withdraw due to a groin injury. What a shame. (Lee Ryder, The Chronicle)

Tottenham Hotspur joins the growing list of teams who think they can make a run at Carroll in January. I honestly think they write these articles so fans of big teams will stop by. (CaughtOffside)

Chris Hughton says he may revert back to the 4-5-1 formation, especially if Shola Ameobi can't go at Bolton.

Brian McNally of MirrorFootball says that the board should pony up and give Chris Hughton a contract, a viewpoint I've seen expressed several times. One think I haven't seen is the suggestion that the club's lack of commitment to the manager might be contributing to the lack of on and off the field discipline among the players. Definitely worth a read.
