Yesterday we told you that the FA will not take action against Nigel De Jong because of some technicality in the rules. What we did not know at the time was that Newcastle had written a strongly worded letter demanding a suspension. I've read several articles about this and I'm still a little fuzzy on the exact chronology here, but I think these two articles summarize the chain of events best.
